One of the distinctive features of the SLX X-Series model is the Speed Lube system, which allows for quick and easy lubrication of the bearings. It is possible to grease the components in two ways:
- Using the traditional method
- Or using the Through Spindle system, which allows grease to be pumped directly into the centre of the pin using a standard grease gun. This mechanism pushes new grease into the bearings and pin, expelling the old grease through the dust cap, for complete and clean lubrication without the need for disassembly.
