On this page we describe the methods for managing the personal data of Users consulting the site and using its services (e.g. newsletter subscription). This information is also provided pursuant to Article 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 or GDPR, to all those who interact with the web services accessible by electronic means from the address: https://www.comear.it corresponding to the home page of the website.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

Navigation data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment. This data is normally used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct operation.

The data, the legal basis of which can be traced back to the overriding interest of the Data Controller, could be used to ascertain liability in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the site: except for this eventuality, at present the data on web contacts do not persist for more than seven days.

Cookies
A ‘cookie’ is a small text file transferred from the Web server to the user’s computer, the purpose of which is to inform the server of the user’s accesses to that particular Web page, and of any other information it obtains from the system’s readable parameters by means of functions contained in the Web page. Cookies can be ‘temporary’ (or session cookies, deleted at the end of the connection) or ‘permanent’ (they remain stored on the user’s hard disk, unless the user deletes them). This site uses session cookies and persistent cookies to – keep track of browsing sessions in an anonymous form; – improve site navigation; – analyse site traffic patterns in aggregate form.

The persistent cookies we use can only store personally identifiable data if the user has carried out a registration procedure allowing the retention of the personally identifiable data entered on the site. Otherwise, our server only recognises that an unidentified visitor has returned to the site with that particular cookie. This data is not disclosed to third parties and is not disseminated. The user has the possibility, depending on the browser in use, to disable or selectively accept the use of cookies: in this case navigation may not be as smooth, some functions of the site may not be available and some web pages may be displayed incorrectly.
The use of session cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site. The session cookies used in this site avoid the use of other IT techniques that could potentially prejudice the confidentiality of users’ browsing and do not allow the acquisition of personal data identifying the user. The user has in any case the possibility, depending on the browser used, to disable or selectively accept the use of cookies: in this case navigation will not be equally easy, some functions of the site may not be available and some web pages may be displayed incorrectly. Finally, it is possible to enable or disable cookies by type using the appropriate procedure in the site footer.

USE OF DATA PROVIDED BY THE USER VIA THE ‘CONTACT’ FORM

The ‘information request’ form, which can be reached via a link visible on every page of the site, allows you to enter personal information in order to be contacted, either by email or telephone. The completed form is forwarded by the system to the address of the sales department.
The data provided will be stored in digital form on email systems for the purpose of:

  • assessing requests;
  • responding to requests;
  • sending digital communications;

USE OF DATA PROVIDED BY THE USER VIA THE ‘NEWSLETTER’ FORM

The ‘newsletter’ form accessible from a banner-type link in the footer visible on every page of the site allows the entry of personal information in order to receive periodic information of a technical or commercial nature.

The data provided will be stored in digital form on e-mail systems for the purpose of:

  • assessing requests;
  • responding to requests;
  • sending digital communications;

OPTIONAL PROVISION OF DATA

Apart from what has been specified for browsing data, the user is free to provide personal data through the optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site or through the completion and sending of the electronic forms already provided. If the user wishes to receive the requested service, at least the mandatory data must be provided in order for this service to be implemented.
